Privacy Policy

Engagetic ("Engagetic", "we", "us") is an AI engagement platform operated by Purplematics Technologies OPC Pvt Ltd, 7 RSL Golden Road Apt. Madurai- India 625018. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and the choices you have. It covers our website and the Engagetic platform.

The two kinds of people this policy covers

Customers — businesses that create an Engagetic account and use the platform. For customer account data, we are the data controller.

End users — people who message our customers on WhatsApp or other connected channels. We process end-user data on behalf of our customers, under their instructions. For end-user data, our customer is the controller and we are a processor. If you are an end user, the business you messaged is responsible for how your data is used — contact them first; we will assist them with any request you make.

Data we collect

Account data (customers): name, work email, phone number, company name, billing details, and login credentials.

Conversation data (end users, processed for our customers): WhatsApp phone numbers, names as shared, message content, media, delivery and read metadata, and tags or notes our customers attach.

Campaign and consent data: audience lists our customers upload, opt-in records, campaign content, and delivery analytics.

Usage data: log data, device and browser information, IP address, and product analytics collected when you use our website or platform, including through cookies. You can control cookies in your browser settings.

How we use data

To provide and operate the platform — sending and receiving WhatsApp messages, running campaigns, powering AI-generated replies, and the shared inbox; to secure the service and prevent abuse and spam; to bill customers; to improve the product; and to meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal data. We do not use end-user conversation data to advertise to end users.

AI processing

Engagetic uses AI models to draft and send replies on behalf of our customers. Conversation content is processed by our AI infrastructure and vetted sub-processors solely to provide the service. We do not use your conversations to train models for other customers without explicit agreement.

WhatsApp and Meta

WhatsApp messaging is delivered through the WhatsApp Business Platform operated by Meta Platforms, Inc. Message content and phone numbers are processed by Meta as part of message delivery, subject to Meta's own terms and privacy policy. Engagetic is an independent company and is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, Meta or WhatsApp.

Sharing

We share data only with: sub-processors that host and operate the service (cloud hosting, the WhatsApp Business Platform, payment processing, analytics); our customer, for conversations with that customer's business; and authorities where the law requires it. A current sub-processor list is available on request at support@engagetic.com.

Retention

Account data is kept while the account is active and deleted or anonymised within 90 days of account closure, except where the law requires longer retention (e.g. invoices). Conversation data is retained under our customer's settings and instructions, and deleted when they delete it or close their account. Opt-in and consent records are retained as compliance evidence for as long as messaging to that contact continues plus any legally required period.

International transfers

We operate globally and may process data in countries other than yours, with appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses where required.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access is role-restricted, and we maintain logging and monitoring appropriate to the service. No system is perfectly secure; we notify affected customers of incidents as required by law.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict the use of your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Customers can exercise these at support@engagetic.com. End users should contact the business they messaged; we support our customers in honouring these requests. Children

The service is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes and contact
